Handmade ceramic diffuser, two scent blends

Place the hand shaped PELE ceramic rock in a car, closet or small room for a quiet aromatic presence. Artist Hillary Richards makes each rock on Maui, so every shape varies. Add a few drops of AIR or EARTH directly to the textured surface.

AIR and EARTH are pure, concentrated essential oil blends, made to live on the rock and around the home. For skin, reach for an OSHAN body oil or balm, where the essential oils are blended into botanical oils at a gentle level.

More ways to use the blend:

  • Add 3 drops to a wool dryer ball and run it with your laundry.
  • Stir 5 drops into a bowl of warm water, dip your cloth, and wipe down the kitchen counter.
  • Put 2 drops on a cotton pad and tuck it into a drawer or linen closet.
  • Add 2 drops to a cotton ball and drop it into your vacuum bag.

Test a small spot before you wipe stone or wood, since some finishes react to essential oils.

Add oil to the rock, and let it sit.

  • Place a few drops of the essential oil blend directly onto the ceramic rock
  • Set it in a small, enclosed space rather than an open room
  • Refresh with a few more drops as the scent fades
  • Refill bottles are sold separately from the set
  • BERGAMOT. Cold-pressed peel, the top note of AIR, bright and citrus-forward.
  • NEROLI. Orange blossom, distilled, rounding out AIR without adding sweetness.
  • CEDARWOOD. Distilled from the wood, the base of EARTH, dry and warm.
  • SANDALWOOD. Steam-distilled heartwood, sitting under the cedarwood in EARTH.
Full Ingredients

AIR: bergamot, petitgrain and neroli. EARTH: cedarwood, sandalwood and rose. Each blend is carried in its own base and used only in the diffuser, never applied to skin.

Each rock is different. Hillary Richards shapes every one by hand.
